The moon knows
She is burning orange tonight
like my heart
the sky is a smoke screen
of black, blue and grey haze
obsuring
the stars
where the truth lies
dreams of a lifetime ago
still make me itch
for love
and the blood begins to flow
skin to skin
and i am awake
no comfort in my conciousness
She controls
her own destiny,
but is broken by the winds of time.
